Seeing JESUS in the Revelation - PT 1

The Book of Revelation is not a revelation of doom and gloom. It is not a revelation of the tribulation. It is not a revelation of the antichrist. It is a revelation of a Person (Rev. 1:1).

It is a Revelation of JESUS!

The word revelation means "to open up, to reveal, to clearly show." In this new teaching series: Seeing JESUS in the Revelation, we are going to look at Who Jesus is and what that means to us.

The book of Revelation reveals the grace and peace of God. Contradictory, many today are gripped with fear (Mt. 24:12) when they read the Revelation of Jesus Christ which indicates many have interpreted this amazing book of grace incorrectly. When received correctly this prophecy of John gives grace and peace.

Revelation 1:19 is a very key verse in understanding this book:

"Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this."

This verse divides the book of Revelation into three major parts:

  1. That which you have seen. (Rev. 1)
  2. That which are. (Rev. 2-3)
  3. That which will be hereafter. (Rev. 4-22)

Therefore, in our first session of studying the Book of Revelation we will begin teaching what John saw.

John saw JESUS!

Therefore, as we begin to study what John saw we are going to study and embrace these revelational Truths of Jesus:

  • Jesus is the Living Word
  • Jesus is the Grace of God
  • Jesus is the Savior of the World
  • Jesus is the Eternal God
  • Jesus is the Resurrected King of Eternity

"I am He Who lives, and was dead, and behold, I Am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death." (Rev. 1:18)
