Rest in His Goodness - PT 6
God's plan for us is nothing but good. As we follow God's plans for our lives, we can be assured of the outcome -- there will be an expected future (Jer. 29:11-13). God will take care of you better than you would take care of yourself. He knows what will satisfy you.
Jesus has provided all of our needs through His atonement. The provisions are waiting for us to receive. We ask for what He has already provided. We seek what we don't know. We knock to open doors that have been closed (Mt. 7:7-9).
We do not need to badger and pester God (Lk 8:2). Sometimes we put more faith in people than we do in God; resting in His Goodness. Our Father promised that if we would seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness that He would meet our every need (Mt. 6:25-34).
It is only through a personal relationship with our Father that we get to experience all the benefits our faithful Shepherd (Ps. 23:1-6). His Goodness leads us to the provision of green pastures and the deep still refreshing waters of abundance. We can have a continual feast in the presence of our enemies. He causes our cup to run over. In this fallen world there certainly are problems. But Goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives. Selah.
