God Revealed - PT 9
Each of these names we have been studying the past several weeks are compound names, where Jehovah, Yahweh has forever attached His Name to His Nature. In that His Name cannot be separated from His Nature. In other words, there is no argument, the Lord is our Provider, our Healer, our Victory, our Sanctification, our Peace, and our Righteousness.
This week we will be studying the final Redemptive Name of God, Jehovah Shammah: The Lord Who is there. Your Lord will never leave you, forsake you, run out on you or abandon you. He is always there for you.
Ezekiel was taken captive to Babylon during one of the worst times in Israel’s history. As a prophet and a priest God gave him beautiful visions of restoration throughout the book of Ezekiel. It concludes with the last verse as God revealing Himself as Jehovah Shammah: The Lord is there.
Moreover, God restores us through His Presence. Life starts with Jesus and His Word. Restoration also starts with Jesus and His Word.
Both Ezekiel and the Apostle John saw visions of the New Jerusalem, where God tabernacles with men as Jehovah Shammah. There is complete restoration Through His life, death, and resurrection Jesus embodies the Presence of God.His Presence. Jesus embodies the Presence of the Lord. Jesus has forever been attached to the Presence of God. Jesus is forever Jehovah Shammah: The Lord Who is There. Jesus’ birth marked the restoration of the Presence of God w/ humanity: Immanuel – God with Us.
Because the Lord is with you blessings flow from that it starts with His Presence. In His Presence you can have His blessings, His redemption, His provision, His healing, and His victory. His birth, death, and resurrection marks His Presence with humanity. Through Christ we are alive together, seated with Him at the right hand of God, seated with Christ, forever joined with Him, Jehovah Shammah.
Christ brings us fully into God’s Presence nothing can separate us from His Presence. If you are born-again you are forever attached to God’s Presence. Doesn’t matter how you feel you are a child of God. If you believe on Jesus His Presence is forever with you. His Presence is part of our Redemption. What you have as a believer, what you have in Christ Jesus, and what He paid for at the cross Jesus paid for His Presence to be forever with you, because He has been resurrected nothing can separate us from Him. He is Lord, He is Jehovah Shammah: The Lord Who is There. Let the Redeemed of the Lord say so.
