Crowned With His Goodness - PT 1
As we reflect the birth of Christ: the Light of the world (Jn. 8:12) and plan for a new year: crowned with His Goodness (Ps. 65:11).
He came came to die that we may live. Moreover, we died with Him, that we may live with Him (Rom. 6:8) for it is no longer we who live but Christ. (Gal. 2:20) Wherefore Jesus said we were the light of the world (Mt. 5:14).
Jesus Who is the full expression of the Father (Heb. 1:3) always treated others: the world, the church, the broken, the lost, the sinners, the persecutors, etc. with love, grace, mercy, forgiveness, kindness, goodness, etc.
Wisdom teaches us to never forsake mercy and Truth. To bind them around our necks. Do not lean on our own understanding, being wise in our own eyes (Prov. 3:1-7).
We are the light. We are distinguished. We illuminate the whole house. Light expels darkness. Light helps people see. We are not controlled by the darkness. We are not conformed to the mold of this world. No, we are the light of the world.
Therefore seeing we have this ministry as we have received mercy, we faint not (2 Cor. 4:1). Therefore, by the mercies of God, let us present our bodies a living sacrifice...(Rom 12:1-2).
I believe as we walk in the Spirit we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Gal. 5:16), I believe His Beauty will establish the work if our hands (Ps. 90:17) My spirit is so resolved to allow Christ, His nature: His mercy, His Goodness, His kindness reign in me and through me.
Paul describes what many covetous people will be like in these last days (2 Tim. 3:1-5). My spirit is grieved as I witness people both in the world and His church behave this way (Eph. 4:30-32).
We are different. We are the light of the world. Its time to shine and be the people of God. Lets stop the negative talk and lets love one another. Lets walk in mercy and Truth. Christ Who is in you died for the world we serve, everywhere we go.
Mercy reigns in His house! Goodness reigns in this year. Love never fails!
